Tokio Tsubaki (1935-1999) was a solar physicist
concerned particularly with the observational study of the solar corona and prominences. He
served as a dean at Shiga University, on the board of the Astronomical Society of Japan and on the Solar Physics Committee at the National
Astronomical Observatory.
